Hello to all of "forum-toshiba.de." I apologize in advance for the english but I'm Italian and I'm using google translator.
You are my last hope; is from February that I write on many forums without finding a solution to the problem that I have with the Satellite A350D-10s: brick bios.
Necessary information about the notebook:
-Satellite A350D-10s Psalme;
-Motherboard: KTKAE L10; REV: 1.0.
-Motherboard Manufacturer: Compal (LA-4581P);
The problem: while I was updating the bios through Windows the computer crashed and then the forced reboot bricked the bios.
Symptoms: When I start notebook the screen is completely black, CD / DVD player working and even hard drives, all LEDs off.
I tried to use CRD with version 1.80 downloaded from toshiba which is called TKAE180a.rom, of course renaming it in BIOS.WPH, but after reading the USB key or floppy drive the computer remained in recovery mode.
I discovered that the manufacturer of the motherboard is "COMPAL" then I went on their website where I found the bios for the motherboard only KSWAE, and in fact in the file "phlash.log", that is present in temporary folder WINPHLASH64, there were rumors about this motherboard (if you want I can upload the contents of the phlash.log); so I downloaded the bios, I've extracted from the archive phlash16.exe and I created the pendrive with CRD and here's the strange thing: with the bios tkae180a.rom the computer remain in the recovery mode while with the bios swae120a.rom of a satellite L500D the computer turned off by itself.
I thought that I finally solved the problem but i wasn't infact during next start the leds of the word "Toshiba" and of the touchpad goes on for a second and then go off while the LED Wi-Fi on / off rest in On (red color).
So how can i try to recover this bios?
I think I need the first version, tkae110a.rom with the correct phlash16.exe but i can't found those.
Someone can helpme please?
