hi noch mal

vergiss die Crisis Disk bei deinem Modell
das ist ein Insyde BIOS

Insyde BIOS recovern:
5. Benenne das File "xxxxxxxx.fd" um in "BIOS.FD"
6. Leg die Diskette in das Diskettenlaufwerk ein
7. Schließ das USB Diskettenlaufwerk an das Notebook an

Hi there.
Im in a trouble with a toshiba model: "satellite t115d sp2001m", beacuse the update bios was interrupted when flashing, with the 1.70 bios.
Do you have any suggestion to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Depending on the BIOS (Phoenix or Insyde) there are two different modes for recovering. One you'll find above, the other in this forum "BIOS, Recovering Phoenix BIOS". I will NOT repeat what is just written...

Many thanks, I just tried with the recovery phonenix bios tool, or wincrisis with a 2gb usb stick fat16.
When I press and hold fn+esc the laptop turn on, and blinking the power button, and power leds followed by beeps too, like 1 long and 2 shorts. With the other key combination dont happen anything.

Moin,

one long two short beeps are graphic problems. So probably your graphic adaptor chip ist broken... That's may be the reason for the dark screen. Other possibility: BIOS boot block crash, a recovery is not possible. In that case it is recommanded to desolder the BIOS-chip, refill it by an external programmer and solder it back (and hope...).

Hallo

so from Start.....
If i understood you ...
You had a full working satellite t115d sp2001m
Then you tried a BIOS update
during the update the Notebook freeze or was interrupted
So due to that failed update the Notebook do not work any more.

I checked the BIOS from a German Model T110D - this model seem to be a Phoenix

so use the Phoenix Recover procedure - crisis Disk
Or desolder / reprogramm and resolder the Chip.

from which Country you are ??

AW: Satellite L300D-148 fehlgeschlagenes bios update

I have understood when I do the (step 3 and 4) in gparted, my usb 2gb stick becomes as unallocacted space 1.89gb cause the partition table. So after in windows I cannot give format the usb as fat16, because a window message appear that usb k: "can´t be formatted"

So, after I did format to the usb stick as Fat16 and then createad the usb with the phoenix crisdisk or wincris.exe
Then because the step 3 and 4 Thats why maybe the usb is not booting the bios ?

for first.....

you had been in a total wrong Threat.

I opened a own Threat for you . check the new link. if you answer again at a wrong place we can not support because it will be deleted

There are different crisis Disks and different step 4 ....
Normaly you need a Stick , format new with FAT 16 by a WIN XP system
then Start the Pendrive and let him write all infos to the Stick
finaly copy the correct renamed Bios File to the stick

Insert Stick
remove AC and Batterie
hold FN+B , reconnect AC
switch on Notebook
If this is not helping use solder procedure

from Which country you are ??????????????????????

Hello,

Sorry because the bad threath.
I´m Alberto from Mexico, so im translating some words from your deutsch forum.

You are right about my trouble when updating the bios. I ran the bios update from the usb in windows 7 ultimate, when it starterd to update it froze.
I set off the notebook from the power button, then restart pressing power on, but there was not image signal.

So from 2 days ago I have investigating how to solve this.
Im going to buy a floppy usb and see if it helps, but as Moi told me about the beeps, then this trouble is more difficult.

When i press the keys fn+esc is when the power button and led button start to blink followed by the beeps. I´ve tried other keys but nothing happens.

I will send the beeps code in .3gpp format to determinate what is the real problem too.
(Note: for listen the beeps attached it must be at high volume for better listen )

Thanks for your support

Hallo

if your Notebook frooze during a BIOS Update then you can ignore the Beeps.
They are not for any Troubleshoot.

The answer is very simple
You had a working Notebook
you tried a Bios Update that Failed.
So the BIOS is the only Problem at the Moment.

So try the phoenix Pendrive Procedure.
www.Toshiba-Forum.de/downloads/Use_Crisis_Recover_Disk_with_Pen_Drive.zip
or
www.Toshiba-Forum.de/downloads/Use_Crisis_Recover_Disk_with_Pen_Drive.rar

i know some Guys in US that may can reprogram your Notebook.
if you want i can check them out for a contact.

Hello again.

Thanks,
Im trying with the pendrive version of crisdisk, but the usb stick still without blink, so I fear that i will need to reprogram the bios, or im doing something wrong cause maybe i did´nt understand the step about ms-dos partition table.
I did that partition but it can be readed to format in windows. Maybe the last chance to try is to format it at win xp s.o.

But actually im only using the wincris.exe to format the usb or diskette at cmd-msdos executed as Admin.

I bought the usb floppy drive too, and tried with 2 versions of the crisdisk, and nothing happens, the floppy drive led, set on for about 3 seconds and it turn off.

Could be great if you can contact to me with the US guys about the reprograming bios or the notebook.

Thanks in advance, or Vielen Dank

Hallo

the Pendrive can be programmed only by a XP system .
no other OS will work.
You do not need a gparted. Do not use it
use the normal Windows explorer and format your stick / right klick on stick / format
then use the Perndrive
nothing other is needed. only the correct BIOS file
